Cancellations & Refunds Policy

Last updated: 23 August 2026

1. Scope

This policy explains the general TreatMeAbroad approach to cancellations, rescheduling and refunds. Individual doctors, hospitals, airlines, hotels, transport providers and other independent suppliers may apply their own booking terms, which will govern the service they provide.

2. Before payment

Where a payment is required, the applicable price, material inclusions and available cancellation information should be provided before the payment is made. Patients should review those terms carefully before committing to travel or treatment.

3. TreatMeAbroad fees

If TreatMeAbroad charges a separate service fee, the refund position for that fee will be stated in the relevant payment or booking documentation. If the fee relates to work already completed or third-party costs already incurred, some or all of it may be non-refundable where lawful and clearly disclosed.

4. Provider charges

Hospital deposits, doctor fees, diagnostic charges, accommodation, flights and other third-party amounts are subject to the relevant provider’s cancellation and refund rules. TreatMeAbroad cannot guarantee that a third party will refund an amount that its own terms state is non-refundable.

5. Clinical changes

A proposed treatment may change or be cancelled following medical review if the treating clinician decides that the original plan is not clinically appropriate. The financial consequences of such a change depend on the provider’s terms and any services already delivered.

6. Patient cancellations

If you decide not to proceed, notify the relevant contact as early as possible. Early notice may improve the ability to reschedule or recover refundable amounts, but it does not create a refund entitlement beyond the applicable booking terms.

7. Events outside reasonable control

Travel disruption, visa refusal, weather, industrial action, public-health restrictions or other events outside reasonable control can affect a treatment journey. Patients are strongly encouraged to arrange suitable travel and medical insurance and to understand the insurer’s cancellation and treatment-abroad exclusions.

8. Written confirmation

For any material payment, the final written quotation, invoice or booking confirmation should be treated as the authoritative source for the specific cancellation, rescheduling and refund terms applying to that transaction.
