1. Who we are
TreatMeAbroad.com is a patient-information and international-care pathway service operated by RATED DOCTOR LIMITED, a UK-registered company, company number 12382884. References to “TreatMeAbroad”, “we”, “us” or “our” mean RATED DOCTOR LIMITED.
TreatMeAbroad is not a hospital, medical practice, insurer or emergency service. We do not replace the treating doctor, hospital or other regulated healthcare professional responsible for your clinical care.
2. What the service does
- Provides information about selected treatment pathways, doctors, hospitals, destinations, travel considerations and indicative costs.
- Helps users make an initial enquiry and, where appropriate, facilitates contact with an independent doctor or hospital.
- May provide non-clinical information intended to make an international treatment journey easier to understand.
- Does not guarantee treatment availability, clinical suitability, outcomes, prices, travel permission or appointment dates.
3. Clinical responsibility
All diagnosis, treatment recommendations, consent, prescribing, surgery, admission, discharge and follow-up decisions are made by the relevant independent healthcare professional or provider. Final suitability for any procedure must be confirmed by the treating clinician after appropriate assessment.
Information on this website is general information only and must not be treated as medical advice for an individual patient. In an emergency, contact the appropriate local emergency service.
4. Independent providers
Doctors, hospitals, laboratories, rehabilitation providers, airlines, hotels, transport providers and other third parties are independent of TreatMeAbroad unless expressly stated otherwise. Their services are governed by their own terms, professional duties, licences, policies and contractual arrangements.
Featuring or vetting a doctor or provider does not amount to a guarantee of outcome. We seek to present carefully selected pathways, but patients remain responsible for reviewing the provider’s final clinical and contractual documentation before proceeding.
5. Prices, fees and commercial arrangements
Prices shown on the website are indicative unless clearly stated otherwise. Final prices, inclusions, exclusions, exchange-rate effects and payment terms are confirmed in the relevant written quotation or provider documentation.
TreatMeAbroad may receive a referral fee, service fee, commission or other commercial payment from participating providers, or may include a commercial margin in a pathway price. Where a TreatMeAbroad pathway price is used, the commercial margin may be up to 12.5% unless a different arrangement is disclosed in the final documentation. Commercial arrangements do not determine clinical suitability or the treating clinician’s medical decisions.
Flights, accommodation, visas, insurance, companion costs, unexpected additional treatment, extended admission, complications and personal expenses are excluded unless expressly included in writing.
6. Enquiries and communications
Submitting an enquiry does not create a doctor-patient relationship with TreatMeAbroad and does not oblige you to proceed. Information you provide should be accurate and sufficiently complete for the intended purpose.
Where you ask us to facilitate contact, we may share relevant information with the selected doctor or provider in accordance with our Privacy Policy. You should not use ordinary website enquiries for urgent or emergency medical matters.
7. Travel, visas and insurance
Patients are responsible for passports, visas, entry requirements, vaccinations where applicable, travel arrangements and suitable travel/medical insurance. Any links to government visa services or airlines are provided for convenience and do not constitute a guarantee or endorsement.
Treatment abroad can involve additional clinical, financial and travel risks. Patients should understand the arrangements for complications, changes to travel plans and follow-up care before travelling.
8. Cancellations, refunds and changes
Cancellation, refund, rescheduling and no-show terms may differ by doctor, hospital, accommodation, airline or other provider. The terms supplied with the final quotation or booking take precedence for that service.
If TreatMeAbroad charges a separate service fee, any refund entitlement will be stated before payment. Amounts already committed to or charged by third parties may be non-refundable according to their terms.
9. Website use
You may use the website for lawful personal purposes. You must not misuse the website, attempt unauthorised access, submit malicious content, impersonate another person, scrape data at scale, interfere with security controls or use the service to facilitate unlawful activity. Our Acceptable Use Policy forms part of these Terms.
10. Intellectual property
The TreatMeAbroad name, branding, website design, original text, graphics and other owned materials are protected by applicable intellectual-property law. Third-party names and marks remain the property of their respective owners.
11. Liability
Nothing in these Terms excludes liability that cannot lawfully be excluded. Subject to that, TreatMeAbroad is not responsible for independent clinical decisions or acts and omissions of independent doctors, hospitals or other providers, nor for indirect or consequential losses arising from events outside our reasonable control.
We take reasonable care in presenting information but cannot guarantee that third-party information, prices, availability or external links remain complete or current at all times.
12. Changes and governing terms
We may update these Terms as the service develops. The version displayed at the time of use applies to website use, while specific bookings may also be governed by additional written terms supplied before payment or treatment.
These Terms are intended to operate under the laws applicable to the TreatMeAbroad operating entity and do not remove mandatory consumer rights that apply to an individual patient.
13. Contact
Questions about these Terms, a booking pathway or a complaint can be submitted through the contact details made available on TreatMeAbroad.com. Please do not send urgent medical information through a general legal or administrative contact channel.
